Environment conservation is at the heart of our mission, and one of our most rewarding projects has been the community tree plantation drive. What started as a simple idea, planting saplings near a local water body, became a collective effort involving children, parents, and senior citizens.
On the morning of the drive, more than 150 volunteers gathered, each holding a sapling. As we planted trees along the banks, people shared stories about how the area once had thick greenery but had slowly lost its charm. Together, we planted over 500 saplings of native species that will restore biodiversity and provide shade in the years to come.
The children were the most enthusiastic participants. They named their trees, promised to water them, and even made small signs with positive messages like “I am growing with you.” Seeing their excitement gave everyone hope that the younger generation will carry forward the responsibility of protecting nature.
Months later, when we revisited the site, many of the saplings had grown strong. The community had taken ownership, ensuring the plants were watered and protected. What began as a few hours of volunteering has now turned into a long-term commitment to care for the environment.
